I  have always been interested in art and as a young girl was always drawing faces in my sketch book. I did a years study at Macclesfield College as a mature student and gained the Northwest Regional Arts certificate in landscape painting and pottery and then was accepted into Stockport College Foundation course with a view to trying to do an Art Degree at Manchester.
However I ended up moving back to Scotland and did not continue my studies I then chose to go to Robinwood Art School and paint for pleasure and attended Joan Lawson's classes for many years.
I enjoy portraiture and figurative work as well as still life and landscape and have mainly painted in water based oil and acrylic and occasionally water colour.
