Ayr Art Circle Spring Syllabus 2026
Our syllabus includes demonstrations, crits, and workshops.
February
Wednesday 4th, 7.00pm: AGM of the Ayr Art Circle at the Alloway Church Hall
Thursday 5th: All-day painting in the Art Room at Rozelle this Thursday
and each Thursday thereafter.
Wednesday 18th, 7.00pm: Critique night at the Alloway Church Hall - one to
exhibit and one for critique.
Thursday 19th, 2.00pm: Model drawing/painting at Alloway Church Hall with Bobby Johnstone.
March
Wednesday 4th, 7.00 pm: Vanessa Reynolds will show participants techniques to
improve landscapes using oil pastels and watercolours at Alloway Church Hall
Wednesday 18th, 7.00 pm: Elena Kourenkova palette knife techniques demonstration with member participation at Alloway Church Hall
Thursday 19th, 2.00pm: Model Drawing/painting at Alloway Church Hall with Bobby Johnstone
Saturday 28th, 10am to 3.30pm – Adrienne McKenzie – members' clay modelling of an animal and pendant, with these baked and glazed for later collection at Alloway Church Hall.
April
Wednesday 15th, 7.00pm: Gregory Moore - demonstration of pastel techniques for you to try with him at Alloway Church Hall.
Wednesday 29th, 7.00pm: Interactive demonstration with Joan Lawson at Alloway Church Hall.
May
Sunday 3rd, 10.00am: Commencing this Sunday and fortnightly thereafter, we
will propose a venue where we can all do painting ‘en plein air’. Locations will be closeby and members can share transport to attend. Emails will be sent each Friday for location or notification of call off owing to bad weather.
Wednesday 13th, 7.00pm: Critique night at the Alloway Church Hall - one to exhibit and one to critique.
